By the way, do you really have 50-60 high water events per year in Venice nowadays, or about 10x the historic frequency of acqua alta?</description>

We have had the very good fortune of visiting Venice many times, and the good fortune of missing most of the Acqua Alta. It is interesting to see, but not partake of or go wading. Thanks for telling of the adventure. Stay safe.</description>
