SUP in Venice

SUP in Venice

It’s the first time I’ve seen SUP boards on the Canal Grande. They seemed to do well when I saw them, but I’ve heard some of them ended on the water at the Rialto Bridge, which is often a busy spot.

Isn’t there a prohibition against swimming in the canals? … and since there’s a much higher probability of swimming with SUP, how is the prohibition resolved?

…From a guy who easily falls out of a canoe. 🙂

Never heard of any swimming prohibition – there’s one guy doing the Vogalonga swimming each year, and this year I saw people swimming around the boats at the Redentore.
