In my wife’s family cooking was a man’s job that women only dabbled in if they had to, which wasn’t very often.

I like cooking, so it kinda works out.

What I do I’ve learned by myself by being curious, from cookbooks and online, from friends and family around Italy, and from spending some time in the kitchen of a trattoria on the outskirts of Rome, that friends of mine had during a period I spent in Rome many years ago.

I like to keep it simple, so I rarely do very complex things, which works quite well with the typical Italian kitchen.
