The city of Venice issued yet another ban on kayaking in the city canals on June 3rd, 2019, and Venice Kayak has taken the city administration to court yet again.

Venice Kayak continues to fight for the right to kayak in Venice. The tribunal has, however, ruled against us in a preliminary hearing.

Venice Kayak has to modify the range of tours on offer, due to the newest ban in kayaks in Venice. We can no longer do all the tours on all the days.

The municipal administration in Venice has issued yet another ban on kayaking in the city.

The TAR Veneto (Tribunale amministrativo regionale del Veneto) has decided in favour of the legal recourse of Venice Kayak against the kayaking ban introduced last August.

The final hearing of the legal recourse of Venice Kayak against the kayaking ban in Venice, was held on february 6th, but the sentence will only be published later.

The TAR Veneto (Tribunale amministrativo regionale del Veneto) has held a preliminary hearing on October 3rd, to express judgment on the suspension of the kayaking ban.

The City of Venice has banned kayaks in Venice at almost all times, so Venice Kayak can only do a few of the tours advertised on our web site.

Venice bans kayaks and other small boats, favouring damaging and polluting motor traffic over lighter ecological and sustainable means of transport. A ban on kayaking is not the right way forward for Venice.
